the journey of a million miles

He started a decade ago in a well-known East African Flight school in Uganda called The East African Civil Aviation Academy Soroti. Though I know the dream and passion had come a bit earlier.

#How it started [Cessna 172]

Through hard work, determination, and a dream to achieve, he did what anyone with a clear goal of what they want to achieve will do, give 100% of the effort.

Following the completion of his basic classes in Soroti, he came to Kenya where he was able to complete attain his CPL (Commercial Pilot License) and IR (instrument rating) you can find the Pilot qualification route here-Aircraft classification.

After the completion of his studies and obtaining relevant ratings at the Wilson Airport, he then returned to Uganda and was able to work as a Cessna 208 first officer at Aerolink Uganda where he stayed until he made Captain.

He later moved to Air Serv, where he worked and till he successfully applied and was called up to by the New revamped National Carrier Uganda airlines.

He has worked for Uganda Airlines since 2019 as a first officer in the newly acquired Bombardier CRJ-900 jets.

I have met very few individuals who love what they do and work to improve themselves to get better as much as he does.

Currently, he is training to be a First Officer for the new Airbus A330-800 recently purchased by the Uganda Airlines in their expansion drive. The sky is always the playground.

Today I want to celebrate his winning, though our meeting was purely by luck, we have come to grow over the years to appreciate the brotherhood that has come with good friendship.

We first met him when he was doing his training at Wilson though the times were tough he did see through his classes with the goal in mind.

I have had the privilege of being flown by him, and the discipline with which he observes safety in flight is something to write home about.

Today I want to celebrate him for the strides he has made as a friend I am happy for these achievements.

As he starts this new chapter in his life, help me wish him a Happy birthday this 2020, there couldn't be a better turn for this year having been one full of gloom and uncertainty.

Happy Birthday Ndugu

To greater achievements my friend. I look forward to celebrating when you make Skipper for this beautiful bird.

Just as he has come to achieve his dream, through belief, passion, and hard work we can achieve if we believe.
